Trekking in Peru means walking and camping in places that are at high altitudes. The higher you are, the colder it is. The temperature can drop to -0 C during the night. The weather in the mountains of Peru is also unpredictable. It's vital that you stay warm, dry, well-fed, and well-hydrated to enjoy 100% of your adventure in the pristine beauty of the mountains of Peru. That's why we offer you the best quality equipment during our walks. All of our equipment is inspected, tested, and sanitized before each departure.
All our tents are from the Eureka and Hardwear brand, one of the best in the industry. Each tent has a capacity for four people, but we only use it for two people. You'll have the comfort of leaving your shoes and other belongings that make you uncomfortable in the small entrance that each tent has. They are waterproof and have doors on both sides so you can get out without crushing your friends.
We pride ourselves on being a company that cares about the environment. We adhere to international eco-tourism recommendations and are continually improving our practices to minimize our environmental impact. We recycle everything we can, we use reusable bags and containers, we separate our waste into organic and non-organic, and we manage them correctly.
All our tours include tents for the dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms. On certain special occasions, we have tents to carry out different activities, such as meditation or yoga, in the middle of the mountain without being exposed to the inclement weather. All tents are waterproof.
All of our kitchen and dining utensils are made of stainless steel, glass, and porcelain. Thus, we take care not only of your health but also of our Mother Earth's health. We also use biodegradable soap.
Feel comfortable and warm thanks to our extra-thick sleeping mats that will provide cushioning and thermal insulation. Also, if you feel freezing, we have wool blankets available for you. If you haven't brought your sleeping bag, you can rent it with us. We offer you the best quality. Remember that a good night's sleep is essential when hiking at high altitudes.
We have satellite phones to deal with any emergency that may occur in our most remote camps. These phones are equipped with an emergency system that automatically sends the exact coordinates to a particular emergency center responsible for organizing your rescue. For this reason, we recommend that you buy travel insurance that covers this type of relief.
These phones can also be used to send and receive valuable information and not necessarily in an emergency (price not included).
All our guides are provided with a first aid kit and an oxygen tank. Our medicine cabinets conform to the International Red Cross recommendations, and our oxygen tanks are checked before and after each excursion. Also, all our guides continuously receive training in first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
All of our multi-day excursions feature eco-friendly portable toilets at each camp. All the garbage is taken to the city of Cusco to be discarded at the end.
Our collection of the most fabulous hiking trails in Peru bring you up close and very personal with the region’s most jaw-dropping highlights: from the snow-peaked Andes to turquoise lakes, waterfalls, and glaciers that seem to hang as if by magic, as well as an abundance of wildlife spotting and a breathtaking, unforgettable adventure in nature.
We did the 2-day tour through Ausangate, the rainbow mountain, and the red valley. The tour was private, the guide Jimmy was very friendly and professional, the whole trip has well organized the food was delicious during the excursion.
I thank the travel agency for this beautiful experience, and I recommend it.
